* Please note
Due to the technique of stippling with my art work, the viewer will not have the capability to click on an image to see a larger version. Instead I have created individual pages with the word Enlarged after each title. This will allow for a clear thumbnail image on the Black Ink Paintings Page as well as a clear enlarged image of each piece on an individual page. Please navigate on the left side bar to see these images by title.

Cider Bottles was a still life taken inside of a log house on a farmers land close to where I lived in northern Minnesota for several years. Inside of this cabin were two rooms. This room had a window to the left allowing natural sunlight to stream through on the pieces in this still life. This was not a staged still life, it existed just as it is seen here. On the left is an old outhouse toilet and on the right were three cider bottles with a box on a wooden stand. To the bottom right of the wooden stand was a large can. The toilet and wooden stand were separated with a leaning door.

Corner View is a room adjacent to Cider Bottles above in the same log cabin. In this room there was only a bench along the left wall with a shelf below the window opening. A piece of paper resembling art with its remaining blurred information hung on the wall. One piece of wood leaned against the bench. The window frame without glass allowed a view outside to the landscape of tall grass and the bottom of a white pine tree.

The Loafing Shed was a leaning extension connected to the barn on the farm where I lived for several years in Minnesota. Its walls housed various animals and the brush in the foreground seemed impossible to keep ahead of. Its thin narrow roof pointing over the wooden corale rails to the trees on the horizon brought many pleasant sunrises in the morning.
